Preparing for your appointment
New patient appointments
- Please arrive 10 minutes early for check-in. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you may be asked to reschedule.
- The East Calgary Health Centre no longer has a masking policy, however, you may be asked to mask by the pediatrician if anyone in your group has respiratory symptoms.
- Bring your child’s health care card.
- Free parking is located behind the East Calgary Health Centre.
- Prepare to be in the clinic for at least one hour.
- 48 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Please email us at appointments@safaripediatrics.ca or leave a voice message at 403-955-1068. Indicate your child’s name, date of birth, time and date of appointment, and the reason for cancelling/rescheduling.
- Missed consultation appointments are a major inconvenience and for this reason we invoice for these ($200.00). You may not be able to reschedule until this has been paid.
Follow-Up appointments
- Please arrive 10 minutes early for check-in. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you may be asked to reschedule.
- Please ensure that you have submitted any questionnaires or lab tests that your pediatrician has requested. If you have misplaced the questionnaire or requisition, please contact our office at 403-955-1077 ext. 0.
- If you have a follow up appointment and won’t have enough medication to last until then, please have your pharmacy fax a refill request to 587-387-7060. There is no need to call a staff member.
- 48 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Please email us at appointments@safaripediatrics.ca or leave a voice message at 403-955-1068. Indicate your child’s name, date of birth, time and date of appointment, and the reason for cancelling/rescheduling.
- Missed appointments will be subject to a $100.00 fee. This fee must be paid in full before another follow-up appointment can be scheduled.

- Patients Aged 0-5 years old: Ages and Stages Questionnaire
- Patients already on ADHD medication – we will provide a SNAP scale link.
After your appointment
If a follow up appointment has been requested by the pediatrician, we will contact you via email to schedule an appointment as our office is currently booking appointments a month in advance.
